WESTBURY, NY--The Financial Crisis Webinar Series, a free weekly service providing financial advisors continuing education on financial planning, client communication, and practice management issues for managing the global economic crisis, announced its schedule of upcoming speakers today.
Most sessions, which are held every Friday at 4 p.m. EST, provide continuing education credit from the CFP Board of Standards for certified financial planning licensees. One continuing education credit is granted per session. This week's session features Don Phillips of Morningstar and is approved for one financial planning continuing education credit. The upcoming schedule of the Financial Crisis Webinar Series is as follows:
About 175 financial advisors attend the weekly webinars to hear about new financial planning techniques and how to communicate with their clients during the ongoing financial crisis.
Advisor Products, Inc., which makes websites, client newsletters, and brochures for financial advisors, sponsors the free Financial Crisis Webinar Series. "We have been placed in a privileged position by the hundreds of financial advisors that use our services, and helping the financial planning profession get through this difficult time is our way of giving something back," says Andrew Gluck, founder and CEO of Advisor Products, Inc. "We’ve played an important role over the years in helping financial advisors communicate with clients through the bull market of the late 1990s, the 9/11 tragedy, and the bursting of the tech-bubble. We’re simply sharing what we’ve learned."
This week’s webinar features Don Phillips, managing director of Morningstar, Inc. Phillips, who joined Morningstar in 1986 as the company's first mutual fund analyst, will speak about the changing nature of the mutual fund industry and why funds that focus on stewardship over salesmanship are supplanting the traditional mutual fund giants and often provide better investor returns.
