Andrew Gluck

Andrew Gluck is a veteran journalist and the founder and CEO of Advisor Products Inc., a marketing and technology company serving 1,800 financial advisory firms.

Gluck founded Advisor Products in 1996. The company provides private-labeled websites, content, brochures, and creative services to independent advisors. Advisor Products offers Personal Client Portals and AdvisorVault, enabling advisory firms to provide secure personal websites to each of their clients.

Gluck began his career as a police-beat reporter at daily newspapers. In 1983, he began covering personal finance, ghost writing a newspaper column for the American Institute of CPAs. He returned to newspapers in 1986, covering Wall Street and writing a column for five years at The New York Daily News. From 1991 to 1996, Gluck covered investing and financial planning at Worth magazine, where he was a senior writer.

Since mid-1996, Gluck has been writing a monthly column, The Gluck Report, which is now published in Financial Advisor Magazine, where he serves as editor-at-large. The Gluck Report covers advisor technology, wealth management, and practice management. In 2009, Gluck launched Advisors4Advisors, a practice management website for advisors.

Gluck earned a BA in journalism at New York University, and an MIA from the School of International Affairs at Columbia University. He and his wife, Mindy, have two children, Alison, 19, and Jason, 17, and live in Long Island with their three dogs, Ozzie, Sophie, and Wally.

Steven Gordonson

Vice President of Technology

Steve Gordonson has developed software and IT systems for over 25 years. In 1997, Steve co-founded AdvisorSites, a website development company, with Andrew Gluck. AdvisorSites later merged with Advisor Products Inc.

Gordonson oversees all technology systems at API, including development and maintenance of its content management and compliance systems, which are used by 1,800 advisory firms to manage their websites, email newsletters, and print newsletters. He is the chief architect of API’s Personal Client Portals system, overseeing development of interfaces with professional applications used by advisors. The company’s proprietary CRM system, which embeds all of API’s processes to create websites, newsletters, brochures and other products, is maintained by developers supervised by Gordonson, as are the company’s web servers and internal network.

Before joining Advisor Products, Gordonson consulted to Citibank, Comverse Technologies, Siemens, Lockheed Martin, and EDO Corporation. He designed and developed software used in biomedical instrumentation, satellite phones, EZPass toll systems, digital call recording, bank transaction messaging, and a wide range of other systems. Gordonson received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University, College of Engineering, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Santa Clara. He and his wife, Lynn, live in Long Island with their daughter, Julie, 15, and their son, Josh, 18, who attends MIT.

Barry A. Weinstein

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

With over 20 years of experience in sales, sales management, and marketing, Barry Weinstein’s consultative professional approach is well-suited to working with independent advisors.

Weinstein has worked at both large and small companies. He previously served as a national sales director at 3M, building sales teams in a diverse array of 3M’s business units, including Office Systems, Document Management Systems, and Medical Imaging Systems. Weinstein formerly served as vice president of Internet Services for North Shore Agency, an OSI Company; director of sales & marketing for Santinelli International; and national sales manager for Imation Medical Imaging Systems.

As a private consultant from 2002 to 2006, Barry coached entrepreneurs on sales and marketing and on building sales teams. Clients included small- and medium-sized companies in a broad array of businesses, including publishing, technology, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and human-resource outsourcing.
